Pike Place Farmer's Market
Pike Place Market, Seattle, WA
Pike Place Market was founded in 1907 to provide a place for farmers and customers to meet directly. Farmers continue to sell their locally grown produce and products to shoppers seven days a week, 362 days a year.
In order to maintain our heritage as a vibrant farmers market, the Pike Place Market recognizes the importance of making sure farmland is available for generations to come, and that farmers can operate sustainable businesses. To support this we partnered with the City of Seattle and King County to convene the “King County Farms and Food Roundtable” to identify key recommendations to preserve farmland and increase market and distribution opportunities for local small and mid-sized farmers in King County.
