1940s Street Games: The Street is Open to People!
The First Hill Improvement Association invites you to join us as we transform the recently installed pilot pavement-to-parks project at University St.,Union St., and Boylston Ave., into an afternoon throwback festival of street games, motown music, swing dancing, food and art-making. This event is appropriate for all ages and abilities, is free and open to the public. 

This park is the first of its kind in Seattle, and brings publicly accessible open space to a neighborhood where dense development and rapidly rising land values prohibit tradition park land acquisition. Appropriating the public realm to provide community gathering space meets a critical community need in a low-cost, creative, and flexible way.
