BLOCK PARTY BOOTH - Imagine Africatown: #HackingGentrification

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

"Imagine Africatown" Design Charette is an invitation to join in imagine a healthy and vibrant African American and African diaspora community in the historically African American Central District of Seattle.

Come and add to our collective vision board.  What would you like to have in honor of the African American and global African diaspora experience?  Is it a music venue inspired by the black music legacy from Seattle to Motown to New York to New Orleans? Is it an art galley or school inspired by Jacob Lawrence and James Washington Jr?

What would you see, hear, do, feel, taste in a place that is inspired by the beauty, brilliance and resilience of African people in America and abroad?
